Vegetarian Food Trucks
There’s a lot of discussion about what an actual vegetarian is. You may have heard people describe alternative vegetarian terms like Pescatarian – one who consumes seafood only + a plant-based diet; or a Pollotarian – one who consumes poultry products + a plant-based diet. Perhaps you know of a Flexitarian – one who mainly follows a vegetarian diet but strays occasionally by eating animal-based products.
There are also Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians – which are probably the most common consuming a plant-based diet + dairy & poultry egg products.
Whatever your preference is it’s mainly about eating healthy, isn’t it?
That’s what we’re trying to achieve too. Fast food is normally associated with fatty, unhealthy but hunger satisfying grub for time poor or worn out families.
Our brains are hard wired to rewarding us when we eat sugary or high kilojoule foodstuffs. They give us a chemical ‘high’ and there are also positive memories associated with certain foods that really satisfy us.
What can we do though? Resist those urges with your powerful mindset and eat healthy when you can. Your body will thank you by feeling energised, well fueled and you’ll probably live longer too. Fast food can be healthy, and your local Vegetarian food truck can steer you in the right direction. Another bonus is the benefits you can provide for your local economy by supporting a small business in your neck of the woods.
You might even find a Vegetarian food truck at an event, university, convention, market, parklands or even a beach. What better way to meet & greet fellow locals by enjoying some healthy, tasty fast food while in the great outdoors? Reckon we’re right…
